RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Mike Corbin came up with the Sparrow, but who came up with this Turkey, Gringo? Happy Thanksgiving All! :)

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

http//www.cycle-car.com Around $50k but certainly eye-catchers. Uses HD motor and automotive 5 speed tranny capable of 125 mph and each is hand-built in Seattle. They also make Liberty Sidecars on premises. I'm lucky enough that they're just three blocks from my work so I get to see some of the amazing side-hacks that roll out of there occasionally. :C

RE: Where did you ride today?

Photo test. Again. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s286/geoforce6/IMG_0265.jpg by geo, I think i nailed it. Now if I could only load this scoot into the overhead I'd be in heaven. Vegas. Didn't ride there, flew. Did get a bit of riding in the area though on a loaner.

...if he ever rode a real bike. There's nothing left for me to say... And that, my dear friends, says it all. Fair winds and following seas to you, g-man.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Speaking of brake lines..........There's a nice little trick for spongy front brakes. If your front brakes are spongy after you replace a line, take a piece of shoestring and hold the brake down as far as it can go. Tie it to the handgrip overnight. If everything goes well, it'll be fixed in the morning. It's simple but it works. A spring clamp like on a clamp-on light works very well also.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

No. He invaded your "personal" space. Like what my daughter says is her "bubble". You don't intrude unless invited and you didn't invite this rider into your space. Some people like toe to toe conversations whereas most prefer a bit of "breathing room" when engaging with another. Same with riding. Now if this other rider were of the opposite sex, that could be another matter. ;)

(cue the violins and pass the hankies) I dream of detailing my bike because that would mean I have a bike again... Greenman. Ditto that.

Johnny was GREAT! A real class act. I have an autographed picture of him hanging in my study. Picked it up at a charity auction a zillion years ago. Someday I'll donate it to another worthy charitable fundraiser. Haven't been around for a while but it's good to see the gang is still going strong. Half a million views coming up soon.:C

RE: So, how many miles did you ride this year?

Hey Vstar-Guy, "What's the coldest temp. you guys ever rode in?" 15 below wasn't in Seattle where I preside now. That was Northern Idaho where the "Arctic Blast" is the norm. Deep cold winters and blazing hot summers. No wonder after 20 years of that I finally moved to Seattle, eh? :) And no, I don't do that anymore. Frostbite has a way of coming back at you many years later, lol. Happy New Year to you too as well as everyone else!
